Sometimes the best way to figure out what you want is to stop doing what you’re supposed to do.

This book was basically a vacation in book form.

After losing her sister, our heroine finds herself with an unfinished bucket list and a choice: stay safely inside the predictable life she’s built for herself or take a chance and live out the summer her sister never got to have.

So naturally, she packs her bags and heads to Ibiza.

Sunshine, beaches, parties, new friends, a yacht, a nightclub job, and a very attractive boss? Honestly, I support this decision.

What I loved most about this story was the emotional heart underneath all the fun. The bucket list could have easily been nothing more than a convenient excuse for a summer romance, but the connection to her sister gives the story something deeper. Watching her work through grief while simultaneously figuring out who she wants to be made her journey feel meaningful.

And then there’s Cristiano.

The chemistry between these two was so good. The forbidden boss/employee dynamic, the late-night conversations, the stolen moments, and all that summer-in-Ibiza energy made this incredibly easy to fly through. Their relationship had plenty of steam, but I especially enjoyed the moments where they actually got to know each other.

The setting was another major win. Ibiza practically becomes a character in the story glittering parties, Mediterranean nights, yacht adventures, and that feeling that summer could last forever. It made me want to book a flight and make a questionable life decision of my own.

Why 4.5 stars instead of 5? There were a few moments where the romance and plot felt a little predictable, and I wanted just a bit more depth in some of the emotional beats. But honestly, this is a summer romance, and it delivers exactly the escapism I was looking for.

It’s fun, heartfelt, romantic, sexy, and filled with that bittersweet feeling of knowing summer and certain chapters of our lives can’t last forever.

My verdict: A feel-good, escapist romance about grief, taking chances, falling in love, and finally learning to live instead of just getting through life.

Perfect for reading poolside, on vacation, or anytime you desperately need to mentally teleport yourself to Ibiza.
