September Reads 📚✨

September turned out to be a fantastic reading month! Between cozy fall vibes, short stories, and a mix of romance and suspense, my TBR pile got a little lighter (and my heart a little fuller). Here’s what I picked up this month:

Are You Mad at Me? by Meg Josephson, LCSW

This one is more of a self-help gem than a novel. It’s all about letting go of people-pleasing, quieting that voice in your head that constantly wonders what others think, and learning to focus on your own joy. A thoughtful, validating read for anyone who overthinks relationships.

The Pumpkin Spice Café by Laurie Gilmore

Talk about the perfect fall read! 🍂 A small-town romance set in Dream Harbor, where Jeanie takes over her aunt’s café and meets local farmer Logan. It’s sweet, cozy, and feels like wrapping yourself up in a blanket with a pumpkin spice latte.

It’s Different This Time by Joss Richard

A heartwarming second-chance romance that explores timing, growth, and the power of reconnecting when life gives you another shot. It had me rooting for the characters the whole way through.

The Fall Risk by Abby Jimenez

Abby Jimenez never disappoints! This short story is funny, quirky, and full of heart. Two neighbors end up stuck together on Valentine’s Day, and sparks fly in the most unexpected way. A quick but delightful read.

Bad Date by Ellery Lloyd

A darker, twistier short story that dives into the unpredictability of modern dating. It’s fast-paced and a little chilling—perfect if you like a thriller vibe between your romance reads.

The Ex-Wives Club by Sally Hepworth

Hepworth always brings the drama and suspense, and this was no exception. It follows a group of women connected by one very complicated man, and it’s full of secrets, lies, and unexpected alliances.

Final Thoughts

This September, I loved the balance of lighthearted romance, cozy fall settings, and some edge-of-your-seat suspense. If you’re looking for a mix of cozy and twisty reads as we head into fall, this stack had a little bit of everything!
