January 2025 Reading Wrap-Up

New year, new books! January was packed with an eclectic mix of fiction and nonfiction, from romance and thrillers to psychology and health. Some books made me swoon, some had me on edge, and a few made me rethink everything I thought I knew. Let’s dive into what I read this month!

Fiction Favorites

📖 Addicted to You by Krista & Becca Ritchie – I finally started this popular romance series, and wow—this book was an emotional rollercoaster. Lily and Lo’s complicated, codependent relationship made for a compelling, drama-filled read. Definitely planning to continue the series.

📖 You Had Me at Château by Portia MacIntosh – This was a lighthearted, feel-good rom-com set in the French countryside. A fun escape with plenty of laughs!

📖 Cover Girl by Amy Rossi – A gripping thriller with twists I didn’t see coming. If you love suspense with a side of secrets, this one is for you!

📖 The Art of Awkward Affection by Him Jacobs – A quirky, heartwarming romance with endearing characters. Think Eleanor Oliphant vibes but with more romance!

📖 Ward D by Freida McFadden – A locked-room psychological thriller set in a hospital overnight. Fast-paced, eerie, and exactly what I expect from McFadden!

📖 The Favorites by Layne Fargo – Dark academia meets psychological suspense. Twisted, smart, and full of complicated relationships.

📖 Don’t Believe Her by Nicola Sanders – A mind-bending thriller where nothing is as it seems. I devoured this one in a single sitting!

📖 The Business Trip by Jessie Garcia – A corporate thriller with scandal, betrayal, and high stakes. Made me think twice about office politics!

Nonfiction Standouts

📖 Good Energy by Casey Means, MD – A fascinating look at metabolic health and how our modern lifestyle impacts our well-being. Eye-opening and packed with practical advice.

📖 Surrounded by Idiots by Thomas Erikson – A psychology-based book about different personality types and how to communicate better. I found it insightful and surprisingly entertaining.

📖 The Real Anthony Fauci by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. – A deep dive into public health, politics, and big pharma. Thought-provoking and definitely controversial.

📖 Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman – A classic in psychology and decision-making. Some sections were dense, but it changed how I think about my own thought processes.
